I haven't played Pokemon in a while but I used to. My first named Pokemon, if I recall correctly, was a Pikachu named Pika.

I do. My first Pokemon, a Bulbasaur, was Leaves. Mu mudkip was Sammy. My Turtwig was Fredrick. Wingull was Gully, which sounded funny when it became a Pelliper. Aw, good times.

Yup, still guilty. When I was 8, I named a Rattata "Bomb"

My Vaporeon was "Bubblebeam". I named my Typhlosion "Corey" (wtf? ) and my Ampharos was "Pharaoh". The first cool nicknam, although Bubblebeam was also pretty cool.

My current team on Sapphire is:
Swampert=Miko, Linoone=Lina, Mightyena=Balto, Ludicolo=Tad (from Lotad), Azumarill=Maurice, and Salamence=Ryuukaze. Some of my other well-named ones IMO (also on Sapphire) were a Ninetails named Naruto, a Raichu named Raichii, a Shuppet named Geppetto, and a Chimecho named James.

And I've recently taken to giving them Naruto names. Like, my Piplup is Hinata and my Shinx is Ino. (It's very amusing.)

I name practically every Pokemon I catch! ...Except for Legendaries. I have a Flygon named Terra, a Kingdra named Cascadus, a Charizard named Ray, an Altaria named Cloud, a Dragonite named Thundra, and a Salamence named Drake...among several others.
